• Hotel Information

All team members have been sent their hotel confirmation details via email. Room and tax are paid for by MNTN, but personal credit cards must be put down at check-in to cover incidentals. Our hotels for the week are:

  • WEATHER

While Seattle is infamous for its rain and grey skies, August is the least rainy month for the city! Temperatures typically range from low 70°s to mid-80°s during the day and dip into the low 60°s in the evening. Layers are recommended!

  • TRANSPORTATION

We offer Uber Vouchers to cover the cost of your transportation to and from your home airport, the airport in Seattle, and as needed (within reason) around the city during the MNTN Meet. Click the link below to add this voucher to your Uber account and be sure it is selected as your payment method when booking a ride. The vouchers are valid August 17-20 only.

Please note a few important usage restrictions –

    • Uber vouchers cannot be used to schedule an advanced ride. If you must schedule your ride you will have to pay for this directly and submit in an expense report.
    • Some team members have had challenges adding the tip to the voucher. If you experience this, please feel free to include the tip cost in your expense report.

    Get the Uber voucher HERE!

Group transportation in Seattle will be provided for the following activities:

Saturday Experiences: Check your experience confirmation email for exact details.

Saturday Closing Party: Buses will leave from the W and Hyatt hotels beginning at 5:30 PM for those who want to explore the Space Needle prior to the party starting at 7:00 PM. Departures to the event will also be at 6:45 PM and 7:30 PM, and will return to the hotels beginning at 10:00pm when the party ends.

  • How Should I dress?

Welcome Party – The Fairmont Hotel is a stunning, Italian Renaissance-style building dating from 1920’s featuring rich character and historical architecture. Dress to impress or come as casual as you wish. This event is entirely indoors.

Company Meeting – Whatever you like! Keep in mind that hotel ballroom’s tend to be chilly, so you may want a jacket.

Experiences – Check the weather, and wear what makes sense for your activity.

Company Party – Chihuly Gardens and Glass is a breathtaking glass museum featuring three main components – the Garden, the Glasshouse, and the Interior Exhibits. As with the Welcome Party, dress to impress or come as casual as you wish. This venue is indoors and outdoors, so a jacket is recommended.

  • Credentials

Credentials will be distributed on Thursday from 3:00 – 8:00 PM in the W Hotel lobby, and will be required for entrance to ALL company events including the Welcome Party, Company Meeting, and Saturday Company Party. Please keep this on you at all times.

In addition to being needed to gain access to all MNTN Meet activities, it’s a fantastic way to get to know your team members! Spark a conversation with someone on another team who you have yet to meet!

  • Meals

Meals and beverages accommodating most dietary and lifestyle restrictions are provided at all company meetings and events. Meals are not provided during Free Time on Friday evening and for lunch during select Saturday experiences. For these meals, explore all of the incredible spots Seattle has to offer! These meals may be expensed within reason.

Team meal expenses on Friday during the Free Time period are charged to your department budget, not the MNTN Meet budget. Before planning a lavish meal at an expensive restaurant, it would be wise to confirm a budget with your manager or team lead.

  • Expenses

READ UP, FAM! WE HAVE SOME UPDATED GUIDELINES HERE THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED.

We give trust to our team members to submit expenses that are within reason and to spend the company’s money as if it were their own. You must be able to provide clear and thoughtful reasoning to every expense. Your 2am bar tab does not constitute thoughtful reasoning, as much as you may think in the moment that it should  72.png

Examples of reasonable expenses include costs for airport parking or checked baggage, snacks at the airport on travel days, and meals during periods where they are not provided by MNTN.

Bar tabs during and following company events on Thursday and Saturday are NOT to be expensed and will NOT be approved.

“But I was with team members! MNTN should pay for that!”: Late night bar tabs will not be approved regardless of being out with team members. To reiterate – even if you are with fellow team members having drinks after a company event, these are NOT considered a business expense and must be paid for personally.

“My manager said I could take my team out for drinks. Is that okay?”: If you received manager approval for drinks with your team, that’s great! As long as approved by your manager in advance, this expense needs to be submitted under a “general” expense report separate from your MNTN Meet expenses as this will be charged to your team’s budget. This applies to whether it is a physical receipt or on your hotel folio.

A note on hotel charges – If you have a significant other, friend, etc who does not work for MNTN staying in your room, you cannot expense room service, drinks, or other items for them and have that charged to the room. Additionally, if a large group of team members is gathered at the hotel bar together, please create separate tabs and have everyone charge their drink or meal to their own room. Do not create one giant tab for everyone. If the situation occurs where you need to do this, you must provide an itemized receipt to go along with the charge that will be printed on the hotel folio.

Reimbursement – Following the event, please use the Paylocity website or app to process your reimbursements. Make sure you click on the Event dropdown and choose “Seattle” for these expenses. All expense reports must be submitted NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 10TH. This is the very last date you will be eligible for expense reimbursement. This is not flexible. Do not be late in submitting your report.
