  • Jacques-Imo's

     

    Since 1996, Jacques-Imo’s Cafe has been one of the hottest tickets in New Orleans for anyone looking for “real Nawlins’ food”. A local favorite of Jamie and the production team at Outpost, they highly recommend the Alligator Cheesecake – it’s a MUST try!

  • Brennans

     

    Ralph Brennan and Terry White’s iconic pink building on Royal Street has eight glamorous dining rooms, each steeped in New Orleans architecture and ambiance. Chef Slade Rushing’s innovative Creole menu borrows influences from French and Spanish ancestry with modern updates and distinct seasonal offerings. Brennan’s old-world elegance inspired dining rooms, and personable, attentive service, create a unique and sophisticated dining experience that lives on in every guest’s memory.

  • The Turkey & The Wolf

     

    The Turkey and the Wolf earned a place in Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and Eater’s Best New Restaurants lists and a semifinalist nod from the James Beard Foundation in 2017. New Orleans reveres its sandwiches, as do chef-owner Mason Hereford and team, but what makes this Irish Channel iconoclast so noteworthy is its gleeful balance of high-end chef techniques, international culinary mash-ups, and just plain fun.

  • Bearcat

     

    Bearcat’s menu features a “Good Cat” section, which offers lighter fare, and a “Bad Cat” section that features heartier, more indulgent dishes. They always maintain a variety of Vegetarian, Vegan, Paleo, and Gluten-Free choices amongst their selections. 

  • Jewel of the South

     

    Orleans tavern, reimagined. Cocktails, food, and wine at Jewel are prepared and presented with intention and precision. Jewel’s cocktail program is steeped in history, showcasing classic techniques with innovative, seasonal flavors. Their food program seeks out unique products such as a broad range of caviars, whole vegetables, and diverse animal proteins. 

  • Pat O'Brien’s

     

    Pat O’Brien ran a speakeasy in New Orleans’ French Quarter, until the repeal of Prohibition. When he officially opened the bar on December 3, 1933. Housed in a historic building, built in 1791. O’Brien is reported to have invented the hurricane cocktail in the 1940s.

  • Carousel Piano Bar & Lounge

     

    One of the most celebrated bars in NOLA, the Carousel Piano Bar & Lounge is also the only revolving bar in New Orleans, Louisiana. The bar is inside the Hotel Monteleone and overlooks Royal Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Truman Capote and Winston Groom (author of Forrest Gump) are among the famous authors who have enjoyed drinks at the Carousel Bar.

  • Beignets!

    Who doesn’t like fried dough? In New Orleans, the iconic beignet is the fried dough delicacy of choice. In their original and simplest form, the fried, squares are piled with powdered sugar. Mmmm. Check out Café Du Monde or Café Beignet (Bourbon St) for some of the best sweet ones. For something a little more creative, try James Beard award winning spot La Petite Grocery where you’ll find specialties like blue crab beignets.

  • Whitney Plantation

     

    Whitney Plantation is a non-profit museum dedicated to the history of slavery, situated on a historical sugar, indigo and rice plantation which operated from 1752-1975. It is the only plantation museum that tells the story from the standpoint of the people enslaved on the site. The museum preserves over a dozen historical structures, many of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Whitney Plantation Historic District.

  • Mardigras World

  • NOLA Motorsports Park

    NOLA Motorsports is located just outside the city, around 30 mins from our hotels.  It’s well-worth the trip. The Park is a full service motorsports facility and includes an FIA Grade 2 road course, one of the largest (fully-lit) outdoor karting tracks in the country, and a 300,000 square ft. soft-grade asphalt skid pad, perfect for drifting and autocross.

  • Shopping on Magazine Street

    Magazine Street is six miles of shopping, food, and fun stretching from Uptown New Orleans through the Lower Garden District and into downtown. There’s a mix of vintage stores, restaurants, bakeries, novelty shops, bars, and fine dining. Some of our favorite shops include Terrance Osborne Gallery for Black-centric art, Funky Monkey for unique clothing finds, and Vintage Green Review for zero-waste items.
