South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and often referred to as South By, is an annual film, interactive media, music festival, and conference. A list of free events around the city can be found here.

MNTN EVENT: Butler Pitch & Putt
The golf course started as a dream by locals Douglas and Winston Kinser in 1948. They wanted to design and build a usable green space for the citizens of Austin. And they did! A 9 hole 3 par tucked in next to river on southwest side of city with nice open spaces and a relaxed vibe…just cross the N. Lamar bridge to the south of the river and it will be on your left side.

MNTN EVENT: Clive Bar
The longest-tenured bar on Rainey Street has all grown up. And then some. The refurbished Clive opened just a few weeks back. The building soars to a third floor bar and includes a roof deck and 48-foot concrete wall.
